We at KOBRA BIKES guarantee our quality. Every bike goes through a strict quality check and meets high standards to ensure quality. It may happen, despite these checks and conditions, that something is wrong. Fortunately, this is why we offer a 2-year warranty on every KOBRA Fatbike! In this article we will further explain the warranty terms and conditions.
Warranty conditions
- KOBRA BIKES guarantees that the delivered products comply with the agreement, the specifications mentioned in the offer, the reasonable requirements of reliability and/or usability and the existing legal provisions and/or government regulations on the date of the conclusion of the agreement.
- The warranty can only be invoked by the registered owner of the product in question.
- The warranty is transferable when reselling c2c, provided the service booklet + original invoice is present.
- The warranty provided by KOBRA BIKES under these terms and conditions does not affect the possibility to sue KOBRA BIKES under the ordinary, statutory provisions of the Civil Code.
Warranty Period
All KOBRA Fatbike models are guaranteed for 2 years against construction and/or material defects, unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.
Warranty scope
- During the warranty period, all parts determined by KOBRA BIKES to be defective in material and/or construction will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of KOBRA BIKES.
- Costs of transportation to and from KOBRA BIKES will be borne by the consumer, unless it has been determined by KOBRA BIKES that there is a warranty, in which case the transportation costs will be reimbursed.
- If a particular part qualifies for warranty and the original is no longer available, KOBRA BIKES will provide a minimum equivalent alternative.
Submitting warranty claims
Claims under this warranty must be presented to KOBRA BIKES, under presentation of the product in question and a valid proof of purchase, for inspection. This offer will be made through the conditions set by KOBRA. Costs incurred by third parties (with the exception of authorized KOBRA Fatbike Dealers) will not be reimbursed by KOBRA BIKES, unless otherwise indicated. Parts that are replaced under warranty will be kept for 3 months in case of a warranty audit.
Liability
A warranty claim honored by KOBRA BIKES does not mean that KOBRA BIKES accepts liability for any damage suffered. The liability of KOBRA BIKES shall never extend beyond what is described in these terms and conditions. Any liability of KOBRA BIKES regarding consequential damages is expressly excluded.
Warranty exclusions
- On parts that are subject to wear and tear, such as tires, chains, saddles, chainrings, freewheels, cassettes, bodies, cables, brake pads, etc., no warranty can be given unless there are construction and/or material defects. "Normal" wear due to use is therefore excluded.
- In the following cases, the warranty is void:
- Improper and/or careless use of the product and use that is not in accordance with its intended use;
- The product has not been maintained in accordance with the instructions prescribed by the manufacturer;
- Technical repairs have not been performed professionally or by KOBRA / an authorized KOBRA Fatbike dealer;
- Subsequently fitted parts do not correspond to the technical specification of the respective product or have been fitted incorrectly;
- When boosting, in any form whatsoever, the warranty of the KOBRA Fatbike expires. For example by adjusting the software, which deviates from the original/prescribed software by KOBRA BIKES. And/or adjustments that make the bike go faster than 25km/h and/or have a power greater than 250w. Applying any of the above will void the warranty.
